Rules of the beat

1. The folk behind the glen

These terms govern your use of ghillieglen.com ("Ghillie Glen", "we", "us"), operated by the operator of ghillieglen.com. Using the site means you accept them.

2. Who may walk the glen

You may use Ghillie Glen only if you are 18 or over, and by using it you confirm that you are.

3. Coins that are only make-believe

• All three worlds are played with virtual coins that Torquil hands out free of charge.
• Coins are worth nothing in money terms; they are not cash, not credit and not property of any kind.
• Nobody can purchase, sell, withdraw or transfer a coin, or exchange one for money, goods, services or prizes; the glen has no in-app purchases.
• The glen offers no prize of real-world value.
• Coins, levels and features may be altered or reset by us at any time, as running the glen requires.

4. No real-money gambling anywhere in the glen

Ghillie Glen has no real-money gambling on offer, promotes none and keeps no links to gambling operators anywhere in the glen.

5. Your bothy key and account

• A free account opens Underbrae Lochan and Sithean Moonring. Hold just one, and never let anyone else share it.
• Guard your password closely, and tell Torquil at once if somebody else has been into your account.
• Your account page lets you delete the account whenever you choose. It goes at once, and it cannot be brought back.
• If an account is used to disrupt the site, or we believe its holder is under 18, Torquil may suspend it.
• Coins, levels and missions stay tied to the account; they never become your property, and they may be reset.

6. Conduct on the beat

Disrupting the site, aiming automated tools at it, offering coins in trade or letting anyone under 18 play are all forbidden.

7. Keeping the glen running, and liability

You get the glen “as is”, and we may alter or remove any part of it. A malfunction makes all plays and pays void. These terms leave untouched any liability that law does not let us limit, and they do not affect your statutory rights.

8. Governing law of these terms

These terms are read under the law of England and Wales, the same across the glen.

9. Getting a note to Torquil
